The Historic White Horse Inn is the oldest restaurant in Michigan and has been a favorite Michigan dining destination spot for 162 years. A favorite, not only because of its history and quaint Metamora town location - but mainly because of its food.  Its scratch cooking kitchen only uses the freshest and finest ingredients.  Purchasing local products whenever possible.  Awarded "three stars" by the Detroit Free Press Food Critic noting that The Historic White Horse Inns "menu is a delight", "desserts are spectacular" and the "flash fried calamari was the best we've eaten".  Travelers thoughout Michigan and surrounding states come to experience The Historic White Horse Inns charming atmosphere and delicious food.
